Cookie Policy

Last updated: 3 September 2026

This policy explains which cookies and similar technologies this website uses, why, and how you can control them. Last updated: 3 September 2026.

1. About this policy

This policy explains the cookies and similar technologies used on alfordzinternational.com. “Similar technologies” includes things like local storage in your browser and small tracking images (“pixels”). We use the word “cookies” below to cover all of them. It should be read with our Privacy Policy.

2. The technologies this website uses

By default, this website only uses technologies that are strictly necessary for it to work. The one third-party feature that would set a non-essential cookie – an embedded map on the Contact page – does not load until you choose to load it.

Icon fontFont Awesome (via cdnjs / Cloudflare)Display iconsFunctionality – asset request, no cookieThird partyNo cookie; your IP address is sent to the CDN to deliver the file

This website does not use Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, the Meta (Facebook) pixel, advertising cookies, reCAPTCHA, session-recording tools or live-chat widgets.

3. Cookie categories

  • Strictly necessary – needed for the website to work and to keep it secure. These do not need consent.
  • Functionality – remember choices you make or enable an extra feature, such as the embedded map. These need consent where they involve a third party.
  • Analytics / performance – not currently used.
  • Advertising / marketing – not currently used.

We do not treat a technology as “strictly necessary” just because it is useful to us.

4. Your choices and consent

When a non-essential technology is present, we show a short notice giving you a clear choice. In that notice:

  • “Reject non-essential” is as easy to find and use as “Accept”;
  • nothing non-essential is pre-selected;
  • we do not treat continued browsing as consent;
  • your choice is stored in your browser so we remember it on your next visit; and
  • you can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the Cookie settings link in the website footer.

On the Contact page, the map area shows a placeholder with a “Load map” button. The map, and any Google cookies, load only if you press it. You can also open the map directly on Google Maps using the link provided.

5. Third-party asset providers

To display fonts and icons, this website currently loads files from Google Fonts and from a content delivery network (cdnjs, operated by Cloudflare). These requests do not set cookies, but they do send your IP address to those providers so the files can be delivered. We keep this under review and may move to serving these files from our own server.

6. Managing cookies in your browser

You can also control and delete cookies through your browser settings, and set your browser to warn you when a cookie is being set. Browser controls are in addition to the choices we offer; blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the site from working.

7. Changes and contact

If we add or change a technology – for example if we introduce analytics – we will update this policy and the consent notice before it takes effect. This policy is effective from 3 September 2026. Questions can be sent to info@alfordzinternational.com. For background, see ICO guidance on storage and access technologies.
