From our base in Aberdeen, Scotland, Alfordz International helps students and qualified nurses move to the UK and Europe — with transparent, compliance-driven guidance at every stage.
Most people come to us for one thing — a place at a European medical school, a UK NMC PIN, a better OET score — and stay for the rest. The journey from first enquiry to a career abroad has many steps, and doing them in the right order matters.
As an independent study abroad consultant, we are not tied to a single university or employer. We assess your profile honestly, explain what is and isn’t within your control, and reference official directories such as UCAS, the NMC, WDOMS and WFME rather than making claims we cannot back up.
Our services, grouped into three areas — Study Abroad, UK Healthcare Careers, and Training & Application Support.

Students from around the world study medicine in Georgia, Poland and neighbouring countries — English-taught, with structured clinical training and fees a family can plan for. We only shortlist universities listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools.
Structured support for undergraduate and postgraduate applications to UK and US universities — course research, applications, personal statements, documentation and interview preparation. The UK and US processes are separate and are covered in their own subsections on the service page.
If you hold a B.Sc Nursing or GNM qualification and home-country registration, you may be eligible to apply; the NMC assesses each qualification and applicant. We follow UK ethical recruitment standards, including the DHSC Code of Practice, and work only with employers and agencies on the NHS Employers Ethical Recruiters List.
Live online coaching for OET Nursing or IELTS Academic, plus the NMC Test of Competence (CBT and OSCE) — the English and competence requirements for UK nursing registration. Small groups, healthcare-context practice, and batches timed for international time zones.
Administrative visa and documentation support for students heading to a European MBBS and for nurses moving to the UK. We build a checklist for your route, review your application answers, and keep you to a realistic timeline. We do not provide legal immigration advice.
Structured coaching for nurses facing NHS and care-provider selection and for students facing university admission panels. Mock interviews with representative practice questions and structured feedback.
A clear sequence from first enquiry to your first day abroad.
Study and healthcare-career destinations across the UK, Europe and North America — the countries we know best.
We provide independent guidance and show you how to check schools in directories such as WDOMS and WFME. A WDOMS listing does not by itself establish recognition, accreditation or endorsement. We do not represent specific private universities.
The people we work with most.
The initial eligibility assessment is free. Custom package fees are quoted only after we have evaluated your eligibility and agreed a plan, so there is no public price list — every plan is scoped to your profile.
We are committed to clear written information about scope, fees and third-party costs, and to ethical guidance in line with UK recruitment standards including the DHSC Code of Practice. Admissions, registration and visa approvals remain subject to official regulatory and institutional decisions.
We are a study abroad and healthcare career consultancy based in Aberdeen, Scotland. We support students and nurses internationally, and consultations are delivered online and by appointment worldwide.
An eligibility check, an English test (OET Nursing or IELTS Academic), the NMC CBT, your NMC application and qualification verification, a job offer with a Certificate of Sponsorship, the Health and Care Worker visa, the OSCE in the UK, and finally your NMC PIN. We manage the sequence with you.
Recognition depends on the specific university and on the current examination and registration rules in the country where you intend to practise — for example the applicable NBEMS/National Medical Commission route in India, or the GMC’s PLAB route in the UK. We check each university against the World Directory of Medical Schools and the latest regulator requirements before you apply.
For OET Nursing, the UK NMC currently accepts at least grade B (350) in reading, listening and speaking, and at least C+ (300) in writing. For IELTS Academic, the NMC currently accepts at least 7.0 in reading, listening and speaking, and at least 6.5 in writing. Combination rules may apply — always check the latest NMC guidance before you book.
For most nurses it takes a length of time that varies with the applicant, regulator, testing availability, employer and immigration processing. We can give you an indicative timeline for your situation, but it is not a commitment.
