Alfordz International is a study abroad consultant in Aberdeen, Scotland, giving Indian and NRI students independent guidance on medical universities in Europe, with checks against the WDOMS directory and current national accreditation — from choosing the right country to admission, documentation and student visas.
Every year, students from around the world look beyond home for medical school. European MBBS programmes — in Georgia, Poland and neighbouring countries — offer English-taught teaching, structured clinical training and fees that many families can plan for. ‘MBBS in Europe’ is a common search phrase, but institutions may award differently titled primary medical qualifications. Georgia is transcontinental and not an EU member; Poland is an EU member state.
We are not agents for a single university. We assess your profile, shortlist medical universities listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools (WDOMS), and explain how recognition and licensing exams work in the country where you plan to practise — before you commit to anything.

An overseas medical qualification is the start, not the finish. Where and how you can practise afterwards is decided by the regulator in that country. Confirm the current rules before you enrol.
Indian graduates of overseas medical schools normally progress through the applicable screening/registration route set by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) and the National Medical Commission — historically the FMGE, with the NExT referenced in the current framework. The exact route in force depends on your year and circumstances, and a valid NEET qualifying score is generally required for eligibility.
Doctors who want to practise in the UK register with the General Medical Council (GMC). The GMC checks qualifications, knowledge, skills and English-language evidence; for some doctors this includes passing the two-part PLAB assessment. Passing PLAB supports an eligible application but does not by itself grant registration or a job. Individual routes vary.
Recognition depends on the specific university and on the current examination and registration rules in the country where you intend to practise. In India this is set by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) and the National Medical Commission; in the UK it is the GMC, which for some doctors includes the PLAB route. We help you check each university against the World Directory of Medical Schools and the latest regulator requirements before you apply, so there are no surprises later.
Indian students need a valid NEET qualifying score to be eligible for the licensing pathway back in India after an overseas MBBS. We confirm the current National Medical Commission (India) requirements with you as part of the eligibility assessment.
The medical curriculum is taught in English at the universities we work with. Students also learn the local language during the pre-clinical years so they can communicate with patients during hospital rotations.
Tuition and living costs vary by country and university. We give you a full estimate for the whole course during your consultation. The initial eligibility assessment is free, and package fees are quoted only after we have agreed a plan.
